The 1950s film The Egyptian? It's color, rather than black and white, but the rest seems to fit, including a theme of one god vs. many gods (although the monotheistic religion is not Judaism, but that of Akhenaten).

I am looking for a movie that is in black and white. It is set in Egypt. I don't recall much except for one scene. A young girl is to be scarified to the gods, because she is beautiful. The slave/worker assigned to make a crown for her protests. He makes one that is dull, rather than one that shines. I think the worker/slave might have been Jewish. I remember something about an argument over one god versus many gods and how could god(s) ask for such a horrible thing. I remember that the young girl is killed even though the slave tries to save her. They use a big knife to do so.
