That sounds familiar. I think one was a poodle? or a sheep?, if it's the same one I'm thinking of, and their names were like Ze and Frank, though I'm not sure if it's at all related to either Ze Frank or Tasty Time With Ze Fronk, or if I just got the art style mixed up with that show. I'm remembering more now- they have a Facebook page, and once shared an image of Ryan North's Time Traveler Essentials graphic?, but I can't remember my Facebook password to see if I can track that down. Hope this helps and/or that we're even talking about the same thing.
Edited by PretzelsHm. That doesn't sound familiar to me, but I did find something called "Dr. Sheep and the Aardvark" based on your intel. It wasn't what I'm trying to remember. Was it what you were thinking of?
The characters from the webcomic I'm trying to remember were definitely colored something other than white. One was gray while the other.......I can't remember.
Witty signature pending.I've never heard of that, but, this is crazy how many dang scientist animal duo strips can exist on the internet, like, man, wild, it shouldn't be this hard, that's bizarrely specific and there's like three of them, at least, if your thing and mine are indeed not the same. Which I still think they might be though. No, this one was like, science-based activities and facts, and for kids, like in one they showed you how to make sculptures by zapping soap in the microwave oven, and they wore little berets and french moustaches for that, which is probably why I'm remembering one as a poodle. I'm pretty sure the art style was similar to Ze Fronk, and the french thing there probably further muddled my memory. So, it's possible. The layout of mine was portrait, though, I remember that much. If your comic was landscape, then it wasn't the same one I'm thinking of.
(Also it may have been Canadian? or maybe the French thing is throwing me off again.)
Edited by PretzelsGreat news! I finally found the webcomic I was looking for. It was called "Forbidden Ferret". I had to dig up and manually go through an archived copy of my browser history from years ago to find it (after going through multiple other archived copies). The stars of the comic were a ferret and a chinchilla. It does kinda resemble Ze Fronk's style I guess? Except the creators of the webcomic were Tyler Gruhn and Mike Gruhn. Sadly, the webcomic just kinda stopped updating in October 2014 and the website no longer has the images of the comic, though it seems the Internet Archive website has all but the last year or two of the pages.
I don't think I've ever seen the comic you described before, but if by some chance I come across it I'll be sure to let you know.
Witty signature pending.
I only remembered this webcomic years after I forgot to keep reading it. There were hundreds of pages. It was an educational webcomic. It had (if I remember right) only 2 characters. Both were smallish mammals, like squirrels, chinchillas, raccoons or something but the two characters were not the same kind of animal if I remember right. The art style was pretty simple, but it had full color. I keep thinking one might have been a squirrel or chinchilla, but my searches for those have returned nothing so far. I also keep thinking puns may have been involved in the naming of pages, but that hasn't gotten me any closer to finding it so far. It mostly talked about physics and stuff I think, though I kind of remember it covering a wide range of topics. Further details might be provided if I can clearly recall them later.
I've been hunting for this off-and-on for weeks now. No idea if it's still around since I haven't looked at it in at least a year. But I remembered it and remembered how I didn't finish reading all of it and now I can't stop thinking about it. Anybody have any ideas?
