That entry is so overlong and meandering I don't know exactly what the Unbuilt Trope in question is.

I assume "Groundhog Day" Loop but frankly I'm not certain.

When they added Unbuilt Trope to a character sheet it seems the unbuilt trope is... sanity in a "Groundhog Day" Loop? Which has been covered by... almost every usage of "Groundhog Day" Loop... including Groundhog Day.

From what I can tell, I think they're just talking about a general Deconstruction

I think the general idea of the entry wasn't so much that the Unbuilt Trope was the "Groundhog Day" Loop, but The Infinite Loops themselves - while most of the later loopers tried to retain most of their sanity and morality, in the early loops sanity and morality were more or less something that got checked out at the door. But if the Unbuilt Trope is an example of a fanfic, not a trope... then it should go under Deconstruction, I guess? I was originally just editing what was already there, in my defense - but yeah, I'll drop it if you want me to.

From what I can see there is no Unbuilt Trope here. An Unbuilt Trope, as I understand it, is when a trope is used in a work before it's become established more generally. A fanfic on its own, by that definition, can't be one. Nor can "Groundhog Day" Loop since it's been, at bare minimum, popularized by the movie is named after.

I'm no expert on Deconstruction but my understanding there is it's when a trope is played straight but then we see the kind of consequences you'd see if such a thing actually happened.

Yup. Deconstruction is often misuse as how things get Darker and Edgier. This isn't deconstruction because "people trapped in "Groundhog Day" Loop and get through Sanity Slippage" is common in "Groundhog Day" Loop story.

I will remove it again since it's obviously not an Unbuilt Trope.
