Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.

This is the wrong place to ask. Ask in Trope Finder
.

Long-time lurker, first-time asker.
I was recently re-watching the film "9," and the idea came to me about the fact that the main villain in the film goes through a lot of stuff and still doesn't die. I looked it up to see if it's a trope, but realized that it didn't exist. I'm hesitant to start a trope page for fear of failure, but I was just checking to see if such a thing exists. If not, here's the general gist of what I'd put down for this trope:
"Takes a Lickin, but Keeps on Tickin,"
You ever have some really old machinery that shouldn't run, yet is still able to do so? Like the Rolex of the past, these machines have been tarnished by time and yet still function within certain capabilities.
Compare "Why Won't You Die?" but this trope applies to non-human entities, and "Made of Indestructium," as a typical reasoning behind why the trope happens.
