Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

I'm seeing some arbitrary example removals with no edit reason in the edit history, not necessarily related to the problems you mentioned. Worse, the most recent ones are on YMMV pages.
Edited by GastonRabbit I got a rock for Halloween.Edit in Acceptable Lifestyle Targets:
I don't know what his intentions are, actually. But he just removed that entire section and left it hanging there.
"In the aftermath of the chlorine gas attack on the 2014 Midwest Fur Fest convention, and the disturbing level of Comedic Sociopathy seen in MSNBC's response."
Okay. In the aftermath...what? What happened? I don't get what he intends for it to mean.
I don't see why we specifically need a comment in Bestiality Is Depraved that furries don't have sex with animals. Methinks thou doth protest too much.
As for Acceptable Lifestyle Targets, that whole page just seems like a bad idea. For the furries thing, the statement is very unclear as to what actual point is being made. It feels like a drive-by edit saying, "Look, we're sympathetic now!"
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!""I don't see why we specifically need a comment in Bestiality Is Depraved that furries don't have sex with animals. Methinks thou doth protest too much. "
I feel like it's practically required to mention considering how many people actually believe the myth that every furry wants to have sex with animals.
Can't really comment on the situation at hand but I would second pulling Acceptable Lifestyle Targets, if only because what's considered an acceptable target is constantly changing and it seems like it could be prone to Opinion Myopia.
Bestiality Is Depraved is No Real Life Examples, Please!, but this is related to real life. I'll add that the edit to the tech/engineering example on Acceptable Lifestyle Targets looks like legitimate Hedge Trimming, but the arbitrary removal of YMMV entries (on other pages) is still a problem.
Edit: Just saw the newly created proposal
to cut Acceptable Lifestyle Targets on TRS, and I agree with it.
Back to the subject, I'm not clear that the user in question merits suspension on the basis of those two edits alone, if nobody has attempted to communicate with them. "In order to give them a bad image" is something that requires a judgment of intent that is not clear here.
I am not prepared to consider furries as a protected group that deserves automatic benefit of the doubt. Our articles shouldn't be bashing them, but neither should we be defending them.
Edited by Fighteer "It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"For what it's worth my understanding and this is coming from a legal position is that it's similar to the church's or military's views on homosexuality: it's not illegal but they will come after you if you do it. This seems to be a case of, "Don't ask, don't tell."

A user seems to have made some edits in a few pages, specifically targeting furries, and removing lines in order to give them a bad image.

The two edits I've found so far is in "Acceptable Lifestyle Targets" and "Bestiality is depraved"
In "Acceptable Lifestyle Targets", he's removed the lines mentioning that people are becoming more sympathetic to furries after the 2014 chlorine gas attack on a convention (and the response to it by MSNBC anchors), and in "Bestiality is Depraved", he's removed the line mentioning that most other furries do look down on actual zoophiles
