What do you remember about the show?

I don't remember the specific incidents, but the general set-up sounds a lot like Nicholas Fisk's Grinny, in which a mysterious old woman shows up and hypnotises the child protagonists' parents into believing that she's their Great Aunt Emma. It was a novel originally, but there was an animated adaptation as part of CBS Storybreak.

I wish I could find even a screenshot to confirm, but that seems to be beyond even Google's power. However, from what information I got with the new search criteria, I'm going to call this one solved. Thanks for the quick reply, and I should've asked a lot sooner!
