We need to find some way to get you an MVP title for this board, jormis! That's it, thank you! :)
I randomly remembered a YA book I read sssomewhere in the 2003~2005ish range, and Google hasn't been helpful so far due to a couple of the plot elements belonging to much more popular works. As I recall it, it's a coming-of-age story about a teen/preteen boy, whose name (or nickname) may have been something like either Christopher or Robin. His sister's name/nickname was Winnie or Wynnie. (You can see how Google would have a bad time with this one!) Other specifics I remember from the book include the boy character either getting bullied or into a fight with friends and getting a cut on his arm, and musing over whether he would need stitches or just a butterfly bandage. (I think somehow he got the cut through his arm punching through a screen door?) A subplot of the story was that the family was trying to get a new board game published, that I thiiink the young sister Winnie had created.
If I Google the names, I get Winnie the Pooh, if I Google the board game, I get Jumanji, and if I Google bullying/fights with friends I get a lot of thinkpieces and books where bullying plays a much bigger role, so I'm hoping someone will either have stronger Googlefu or know the answer off the top of their head! :)
