Goku once beat someone who eats ki by powering up and causing it to explode.

Vegito managed to beat Super Buu up while turned into a piece of candy.

Jiren beat Hit, who stops time, by getting so strong that he could break the time warp.

Vegeta's feat was totally consistent with the logic of Dragon Ball. Abilities are rarely horizontal in that series, where you have to overcome an ability through clever tactics. Far more often, characters can just power their way out of anything.

Not to mention Frieza did pretty much the same thing, so there is basis in canon for what Vegeta did. Not an example to be sure.

^ That's something I was going to make a point about. Frieza did it to a weaker extent. It makes sense Vegeta, in a stronger form, using God Ki, could nullify it himself.

Muramasa got.
