My first instinct is to say "sounds like something that would easily draw complaining," which is a big "no" when it comes to forum threads.

Damn, what isn't complaining these days?

If I were a mod, I would allow it. If it did turn into complaining, I would lock it.

When the blue moon comes around on the fourth quarter of the four year of the forty-fifth or forty-sixth's decision, the stars will shine down and consider making a new mod.

Believe me, I already tried. The thread got locked within an hour.

"Unpopular opinions" topics are expressly banned by the forum rules. Don't even think about it.

If you want to talk about specific works, post in the topics for those works.

^^^It's a common joke when someone expresses an interest in becoming a mod.

In all seriousness, if such a thread gets locked in less than an hour, then there's no point to making it; just save yourself the trouble.

Good call on asking about the thread before creating it, as "Unpopular opinions" threads are banned under the rules. Madrugada's post there has this bit that is important:

  • Threads that are just complaining will be locked or deleted. The purpose of the forum is to provide a place to converse. There are lots of other places where you can go if all you want to do is bitch. For the same reason, "Unpopular Opinions" threads are not allowed. They overwhelmingly turn into complaining. You can certainly talk about why you like or don't like something, but please use an already established topic for that thing.

An "Unpopular opinions/uncommon opinions" thread would be a stealth complaint thread. Don't make it, like Fighteer said.
