Hmm close but often there will be no wipe. It just hard cuts to either the next scene or the establishing shot of the place the next scene will be in before the next scene itself.

There doesn't have to be a literal wipe, the jingle is the clue that the scene has changed instead of it just flowing normally. That is the idiosyncratic part.

Plus tropes do not have to be ultra-specific to every situation, a trope is a general meaning. So long as it carries the general feeling and message then it fits the trope.

Not so much a Sting. Idiosyncratic Wipes seem closer to what I was thinking.
