That would depend if the characters in question have an Author Avatar status. Bear in mind that Self-Deprecation can apply in-universe to characters who are authors or creators themselves in the setting.

In any case, any example of Self-Deprecation directly related to the work's actual creators, need to be moved to Trivia.

^Self-Deprecation isn't a Trivia trope, and either way Trivia tropes for Creator pages go directly on the page and not a separate page.

It's a trope that can be done in real life, aka Truth in Television.
