I don't think there's an official policy regarding fan fics that have been deleted. My first suggestion is to see if the fic can be recovered via the Wayback Machine. If not, I'd remove the fic from the page and place the entry in the discussion page, with a note asking people to add it back if the fic is ever recovered.
What's the proper way to deal with recommendations for fanfics that have been deleted and can't be found? I thought putting "Vanished from the internet. Please post a link if found." was the right way, but I couldn't find a page that actually stated that.
