Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help. It's not for everything, though. By re-adding his deletions, you are edit-warring FYI.

That's two steps. The original adding doesn't count — it wasn't part of the back-and-forth.

Also, we use some common sense here, in cases where one side is very clearly correcting a wrong action.

From Edit War:

...If you add something, someone changes or removes it, and you change it back, you're edit warring...

If I'm incorrect about this being an edit war, I'd like to understand why for my own knowledge. I don't think the OP intended to edit war. I just want to understand the difference.

Trollbrutal didn't add the original examples. He didn't enter this until step 3 in your list. It has to be the same two people throughout. (Barring unusual cases like meatpuppeting.)
