I believe the rule is to use the most recent official spelling so the newest one should be used.
Edited by SebastianGrayGiegue is accurate for the first game's pages, as it's the only name used to refer to him in that game. When referring to the series as a whole, use Giygas.
We'll eventually get an Administrivia up for our translation policy, but this wiki runs on Valve Time.

On the game page EarthBound Beginnings, people are calling the Big Bad Giegue. Thing is, his name in the widely-released back in the 90's sequel EarthBound was Giygas. Should it be changed to that instead?
