I wouldn't say that was an example, but maybe take it to discussion. If anything, Loki being slightly ridiculous in Ragnarok is probably as a product of the odd direction the film as a whole took into being more GOTG than Thor.

It's also written incorrectly; all examples should use historical present tense.

Are Character Derailment examples even allowed? I notice it's a Flame Bait trope and that examples are forbidden from specific YMMV pages. I'm a bit confused, then, why there's still a list of examples on the main trope page.

That's a good point. If something is on the Flame Bait index, it should not get examples anywhere.

I would like to say that I put the example on the 'character derailment' page, not the page for Loki or Thor's characters or the Thor Ragnarok movie, so I thought that was allowed even though the trope is listed as flame bate (especially since there were many other examples on that page). I have moved the example and questions about what's wrong with it to the trope discussion page for character derailment.
