Sounds like The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, a major Hollywood movie based on a popular comic book. It also features Alan Quartermain, Captain Nemo, and the Invisible Man, among others, and a token heroine who averts "the Chick" by being the most sensible and efficient of the lot. Your description of Jekyll and Hyde sounds very much like this movie, and the actor gets to do a lot of serious acting regarding his condition.

I'm not sure of the plot, but the thing of the movie is that the characters were real version of really known british stories. Like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, that he was like Hulk, he was a normal guy who transformed into a bulked monster.
