For some reason this reminded me of "Out of the Box"

Kids Incorporated on the Disney Channel!
All I remember is that this was probably not a syndicated television show, but a smaller scale production that was meant to teach children respect, conflict resolution, etc. by showing situations "acted out" by pre-teens/teens. It wasn't forced feeling from what I remember and it had a pretty diverse cast. I seem to remember it having something to do with the YMCA but I could be totally wrong on that. I do know that it largely took place on a playground and that a girl was a/the main character. At one point I want to say there is a coach-like adult character, but, other than that, I think it was primarily focused on the adolescents and, again, I'm really not certain about that. I might be conflating other things I watched when I was younger, but I want to say that the second half of the program took place on a stage inside in front of a live audience? The people in it were all American and I would have to say that this was probably recorded in the early 90's, maaaaybe late 80's at the very earliest. Any info would be hugely appreciated! This has been driving me nuts and keeping me from doing work because it popped into my mind when I remembered Bananas in Pajamas, which, just by virtue of the characters, was super easy to ID. Thanks!!
