The part of that entry telling the reader to see Ron the Death Eater can go; entries must stand on their own.

IMO, I don't think it's a good idea to use entire reviews unless they themselves happen to be short.

The bullet underneath it all can be integrated into the main one; it's natter otherwise.

@ The Nerf Guy. Okay, so lose the long review text wall and the Ron The Death Eater part and integrate the part about Lyanna and Rhaegar. And I can then personally add a little from the other side to make it more fair to both sides.

Thanks

If he hates the creator and is using this site as a platform to attack him on and is edit warring as well as doing Walls of Text and Natter it was very good to report him here.

One more thing, sorry!

This is another entire here where the author attack comes into play

Personally, I feel the middle and end should be cut. The Smug Snake stuff is no only keeping it neutral opinion and smells of personal belief (Ie, presenting that the author in fact knows nothing of the characters) while the linking to their own review also crosses a line and isn't needed (falling under that the entry should stand on its own)

Is that correct?

EDIT: This is what I made as my original edit to this entry:

"The story has its fans and detractors, mostly from fans of Catelyn Stark. Some praise the author for giving her the written smack down she deserves while others feel he is too harsh on her and spends too much time bashing her. "

I feel this is more balanced and fair and removes both the promoting of the Cheap Sunglasses' review and the author attack while still carrying on the same information

Second Edit: For reference, here is the link to the History of that page: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=YMMV.AManOfIron

The Troper in question has posted nearly a thousand words of text for only 6 entries.

Send the troper in question a PM asking them to participate in conversation, linking to this ATT topic. If they don't do it, we'll take further action.

Broken Base is difficult to write good examples for, because any work with more than one fan will have things that they disagree about. To qualify, there really must be documented evidence of a split opinion, with only two irreconcilable positions held among the majority of fans. "Some people like it and some people don't like it" is a trivial statement that carries no meaning, and it's especially pointless to add for fan fiction.

The wiki should not be used to bash works, no matter how many people think they are bad.

@Fighteer. I have sent the message.

I do believe there is a valid case here for Broken Base, as while they aren't a majority there are enough vocal fans who feel that Catelyn Stark is mistreated in the fic against those that feel the fic is fine in how it treats her to include this. I mostly felt HOW it was written as an entry as the issue. For now I have edited it to reflect suggestions made by The Nerf Guy and my own feeling on how such sections should be (fair to both sides, detailing the issue and the clear divide). I also left Ron the Death Eater and Draco in leather Pants as I also feel, once edited there was enough enough to justify them remaining. I've removed the author bashing comments and the links/walls of text to make it more appealing to the eye.

I look forward to Cheapsunglasses joining us to discuss this so everyone is on the same page.
