Sent a PM. Natter on Fridge pages is still discouraged, but he should have left an edit reason at least.

Thanks. Should I go through and re-add the examples just for now?

I was doing a clean up of the page. The stuff I removed really didn't feel like it belonged in there. They were too unnecassary, too unimportant, too obvious even. They didn't felt like they fit the bill of Fridge stuff.

But, at the same time, the Fridge Brilliance page points out that "This is a personal moment for the viewer", so even if it doesn't make sense to you, it made sense to someone... And it's not like it's the main page, so who should decide what goes there and what doesn't?

I second loracarol's opinion on the matter. And yes, it's not even the main page, it's the Tangled Fridge Brilliance page, so there should be more freedom there - it's not like it is linked to the main Fridge Brilliance pages... I also thought that if you put something there on any Fridge Brilliance page, there'd be the guarantee it'd stay there forever or why else have Fridge Brilliance in the first place?

So.... Erm...

Does that mean I should put the page back or not? At least, for now? Or at least the "cut" stuff, not the edited stuff...

Or is there a way to go back in time with it? O_o

Edit:

On second thought, I'm going to save a markup of the edited version of the page to my hard-drive, and restore everything for now, just to make sure it doesn't get lost by way of further edits. I hope that's alright, and if it isn't, I'm really very sorry... ^^;

The page's being edited again with the explanation that they're just getting rid of everything that's not "Fridge", so...

Mod question- who gets to decide what's "Fridge" or not?

(Or, at least, could someone take a look at the page? If I'm totally in the wrong, I'm really sorry about that...)

Not-A-Mod

Generally anything that's so obvious to not really be a fridge moment should get the axe. That is rather subjective of course, but I generally go "If I had went blind into this movie, would I realize this later or during the film?

EDIT: I'm not very familiar with the work, but this is a good example of something that should be obvious.

  • Mother Gothel's very overprotective behavior towards Rapunzel (namely, having her stay in the tower all of the time), fits perfectly into her greedy, possessive nature and reflects her attempts to be the only owner of the magic flower at the beginning. The flower was exclusively hers, but eventually she was unable to keep everyone else from it. Likewise, she is unable to keep the girl from going into the world.
