Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
See: Handling Spoilers. I think the trope names shouldn't be spoiler tagged. Just rephrase the entry so the spoiler is in the description of the entry and not the trope itself.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyNot only was spoiler tag abuse absolutely rampant on that page, but there's already an "Unmarked spoilers ahead! Advance with caution!" warning at the top of the page. The solution was obvious: every spoiler tag on that page has been deleted and a note to editors added telling them that an "unmarked spoilers ahead" warning means unmarked spoilers, not "half the page hidden in spoiler tags". I doubt it will take, but at least I tried.
Oh, and Characters/ page... bad indentation... bad alphabetisation... sinkhole abuse... trope names in emphasis markup as a lazy substitute for context... you know the drill by now...

I've seen trope names being hidden in spoiler tags at the Characters/FistOfTheNorthStarFirstSeries page. Is it true that trope names (not the descriptions) shouldn't be spoilered?
