The X-Files kept the same page, and it was off the air for much longer. Same with Doctor Who.

Good point - another reason I should have probably watched X-files. At the end of the day it is still someone breaking out of Prison - so probably not much different.

If knowledge is the key, then show me the lock, so I can ask someone to break it.

No, that was a genuine question. I haven't seen any of either version, so I don't know: How different is it from the old one? Doctor Who didn't change substantially — heck, aside from better effects and sets, it didn't really change at all — even with that years-long hiatus, so there was no need to specify that it was the "New" version because it was treated in-universe and by the producers and by the fans as the same show.
