Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
You could remove the spoiler mark-up from the all-white entry.
Also, the page has The Woobie on the main page.
I think more concerning than that is that the page has had multiple trope entries deleted as "incorrect" (without further explanation) by one of the fic's authors, Nyumnums. Seems like someone who is unaware of the rule The Fic May Be Yours, but the Trope Page Is Ours.
Bumping because Nyumnums actually added a comment to the top of the page stating that they would prefer it if only the authors edited the page, and that anyone else who edits the page should run the changes by their blog. Definitely someone who needs to have the rule that The Fic May Be Yours, but the Trope Page Is Ours impressed on them. Courtesy link to editing history.
Not sure if the page needs to have the edit that removed trope entries for being "incorrect" reverted. I'll leave that decision to the mods. (EDITED TO ADD: Re-added some of the deleted entries, so no reversion needed.)
Edited by mlsmithcaGive them a chance to respond to the corrections, I guess. They might not have been aware of the rule.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Could someone IP check Nyumnums with Hema4ever? It seems strange that the latter just disappears after creating the page, and the only other main editor has been the former.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Totally different geolocations. Probably a fan who started the article and told the creator, who decided to take it over.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Incidentally, this may be a question for the forums, but I notice the page for The Fic May Be Yours, but the Trope Page Is Ours only covers the event that a fic's author wants the page on their work deleted. Thing is, the rule is also used to enforce the idea that a work's creator does not get final say on what does or does not go on the page for their work (creators - mostly fanfic authors - have come here in the past to scrub tropes they didn't like from pages for their work, which I know has led to temporary locks being placed on some pages). Should there be some sort of language on the page making this clear?
Many thanks, Madrugada, you're a star.
Tangentially related to this (specifically, regarding the example of The Woobie that was added to the main page - I think it was added by the reader rather than by the author, for what that may be worth), which Administrivia/ page includes the rule that creators may not add or contest audience reaction examples for their own work? I just received a PM asking this from another editor who fell afoul of that rule not long ago and wasn't sure of the answer myself.
Second point under Frequently Asked Questions on the page How to Create a Work's Page:
"This is why it's a bad idea to make Word of God statements for your own work on its wiki page. 'You are also not allowed to create or add items to a YMMV subpage or related subpages, and you may not review your own work or add recommendations for your own work." [emphasis added]

Fanfic. The Harvester was just launched today and already has a good number of tropes. Unfortunately, almost all of the tropes have a spoiler on them, with the Designated Victim example completely whited out. I'd fix it myself, but I haven't read the fic, so I'm not sure what would count as a spoiler. Could someone who has go through the page and help me?
