I'd personally say to axe it. Aside from being only tangentially relevant to the actual work being troped, it also falls massively foul of the Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgment.

It's not relevant, it's headed towards Flame Bait, and it's definitely natter. Cut with prejudice.

OK, I'll cut the example, but I'd like to bring attention to the Unfortunate Implications example as follows:

  • Unfortunate Implications: Some people claim the book is anti-Muslim because it features no heroic Muslim characters, or then at least mainstream Muslims who condemn religiously motivated violence, to counter the bad ones, though Miller denies any such intention. There are also reviewers who disagree with the assessment as well. The fact that Miller has made some controversial comments about Muslims in the past (as compiled here (starting at 9:21 into the video) from Linkara's review of this comic) doesn't make matters any better. Ultimately, it falls on the opinion of the reader.

Well, that example is arguing with itself and using material from outside the work to make a point...

...plus it feels like a load of squick to me.

At the least, pull it to discussion.

Ok thank you, that seems best.

Given how divisive Frank Miller got in recent years, and how he openly admitted Holy Terror was "Batman fighting al-Qaeda"... would a page lock be worth anything, or a Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgement note at the top?

Maybe try the ROCEJ warning first, and request the lock if people still don't follow guidelines?
