Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

Our policies require that sorting be consistent on an article. That is, if it's done alphabetically, keep it that way when adding new examples, and so on. Generally speaking (there are exceptions), the two most effective ways of sorting are alphabetically by title/trope name, and not sorted at all (latest entries go at the bottom).
If you want to go to the effort to sort a trope page's examples alphabetically within medium folders, we're fine with it. Just be aware that unless the example description puts the work name near the beginning, it can be confusing to users reading the list, and if you're going to do it, sort the whole article, not just selected folders.

Is it fine for me to alphabetize examples of tropes in the various media folders? (I just realized that might be breaking a rule or considered a frivolous edit after alphabetizing the Live Action TV examples in Sweet on Polly Oliver) It's admittedly something that I'll probably rarely do, but I could see myself being especially-bothered once in awhile by something especially egregious (Something starting in V sandwiched between examples of shows that all start with the letter B for example)
