You go to see "The Little Mermaid", you expect a mermaid. You see Rapunzel, you expect long-ass hair. That and the whole "spoil the end of the movie" thing. Maybe you'' find something suitable under the Derivative Works super trope.

Disney films do this a lot;
In Tangled, Rapunzel has short brown hair at the end of the film. At a Disney park, she has long blonde hair. In The Little Mermaid, Ariel is human at the end of the film, but at parks she is often depicted as a mermaid.
