Well - the toy wasn't human at the end, and the live-action sequence didn't count. It kinda reminds me of a fucked-up 70s version of Toy Story if you asked me, or Raggedy Ann And Andy A Musical Adventure. The main character, in my mind, looks like Barbie dressed as Solid Snake.
RIP RashandFierce December 24, 2015 - November 17, 2016 She shouldn't talk about little girl furries or 7 year olds crushing on toys

In the 1970s, there was an animated short in which a little doll in a toy soldier's costume, which to me resembled Solid Snake's uniform, was ridiculed because she had no joints and therefore could not move. On Christmas Eve, the doll wished upon a star for joints, and her wish was granted and she found that she could move! "I CAN MOVE!" she cried. In the main segment of the short that contained the song, the doll was portrayed by a live action dancer in a Solid Snake cosplay (lol) who grooved to a disco number called "Dig Those Crazy Joints." "Dig those joints, dig those joints, Dig those cray-ay-zay joints! Dig those joints, dig those joints, Dig those cray-ay-zay joints!" To this number, the dancer portraying the doll danced a disjointed dance in which she showed off all of her body's joints, including those in her neck. Then, in the animated conclusion to the story, the doll was bought by the mother of a little girl, and when the girl moved the doll's elbow, the toy store owner said: "That's funny - yesterday she was a sad doll without joints, and today she's a happy doll with joints." Note that I didn't see this cartoon - it was someone on InThe00s who saw it, when he was 9 years old, in 1977. Does anyone have any idea what this cartoon is? I'd like to see it, it sounds interesting.
