"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."

So, the show/cartoon I'm trying to find the name of went a bit like this:
The protagonists were a blonde girl and a shapeshifting robot. Can't remember much about her, but he (the robot/android) could shapeshift himself, or whoever he was holding hands with. Most of the time he would turn into a small kid, or an adult, which had black hair and green eyes I think. His robot form was sleek, gray, with round white eyes surrounded by black lines. They were chased by cops or an army or something, can't remember if it was because the robot was seen as dangerous, or as a weapon, or if it was a failed prototype that escaped, sorry, can't remember. He was rather naive, and she explained stuff to him. Old cartoon I guess, since I used to watch it on cartoon network over ten years ago, when I was a little kid.
Oh, at the end of most episodes he asked about a certain item of the past, and she would give an explaination, often times wrong, because they lived in the future. I remember she once thought those clocks which are used on kitchens for cooking times and whatnot were used to know when chicken eggs hatched, because the clock was chicken shaped. Why can I remember this pointless detail but not the name of the show?
