Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help. It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread for ongoing cleanup projects.

I'd advise using Tropers/Waddle for your actual troper page, and Sandbox/Waddle for the sandbox-y stuff. That way, people visiting your Tropers/ page won't be spoiled on your alleged fanfic.

Please note that TV Tropes is not a site to write drafts of your work, nor is it a place to document your writing process. Yes, your Tropers page is yours to do with as you please (within site policies, of course), but we cannot guarantee any other "safe" space for you. We've had to censure a lot of tropers for using the wiki as their personal scratch pad.

I recommend storing your work in a secure site like Google Docs and linking it to people that you would like to share it with.

The thing is that it is what am I using right now, but I miss some functionalities specific to TVT, like the folders. It is more for convenience's sake than anything else, and "spoilers" have nothing to do with that (it is nothing really serious).

What do you want folders for? Are you using them to keep story, or personal notes organized? You can't even enjoy the folders when you're editing your page, so it might just be nicer to have multiple GDocs.

If GDocs is too slow for you or you don't want the hassle of having to keep multiple tabs open, there's Litewrite. You could have multiple notes for personal notes, story notes, the drafts of your actual story chapters, and so on, and switch between them quickly.

And as a writer myself, here's some advice- don't get in the habit of keeping unfinished stories or story notes in publicly viewable places.
