if it's before 2012, you're out of luck. The crash destroyed the forum history.

... I thought the Big Crash happened in 2008/2009-ish.

EDIT: Yeah, The Great Crash did happen in 2008, not 2012.

You're right, but there was another one after I joined, and I joined in Feb 2010.

Eh? Really? I do not remember any such crash, given that by 2011 I've already been quite active for a year or two.

There were history wipes to save disk space, but no other data was lost. Google can help you find old topics even if the user histories were purged.

That's right, it didn't crash - it was just every wiki page got bad markup on it for apostrophes and foreign letters (such as ö) because of a UTF-8/Windows character encoding mixup.

Well, I already tried googling the quote (and portions thereof) before I posted this question. As it should be obvious by the fact that I'm even asking after doing such a search, I found nothing that doesn't refer me back to the Neologism article itself.

Dammit, so it's Lost Forever, huh?
