Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
It is unclear what you are asking.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I don't think it's proper form for an entire example to be spoilered, if that's what you mean. Could be wrong though.
The entire example being spoilered out rather defeats the point, since you have to highlight the thing to find out what it's about. It's recommended that enough be showing that someone can decide whether they want to see the rest.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettHe's asking if it's OK to spoiler an entire example except the trope name. No, it isn't. Handling Spoilers should be altered to say this.
Edited by TheOneWhoTropes Keeper of The Celestial FlameI am of the opinion that it should be allowed (if sparingly), because quite frankly trying to write spoiler entries is really difficult sometimes.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?
Is it practically unheard of nowadays for entire examples (save for trope names, for obvious reasons) to be spoilered?
