There was a TV show I caught a little bit of, probably at least ten years ago. There were a group of teenagers, including a black young man and a big, bully-jock type white boy with blonde hair. I think the jock boy was actually a nice kid but he looked like a bully. The teens traveled back in time to right before Martin Luther King Jr. gave his "I have a dream" speech, and wanted to take him forward in time to show him how much impact his speech had on the future since he is nervous about giving it. The problem is, they took him before he gave his speech, which meant he never gave it, so back in the kids' time black people are still not treated equally. The main teenager, the black one, wants to show MLK his boom box but when they get back to the present day it is missing and he and his mother are living in poverty. Also, in the altered present day, the white kid and some other kids hate the main teenager, and I think try to fight him. MLK is horrified at what the future will become, so he tells the kids to take him back so he can give his speech and improve the future.
