Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help. It's not for everything, though. Speaking as one of the people who advocated the page's destruction, your examples were terrible.

Most of your entries relied on the idea that people behaving like people is stupid. ...I mean, to be fair, yes, people behaving like people usually IS stupid. People do tend to be irrational and emotional and make dumb decisions. But that's not what What An Idiot is about.

What An Idiot is about contrived stupidity. It's not about a character behaving emotionally or making a bad decision, or not living up to others' expectations... it's about a character behaving in such an absurdly stupid way that it defies all possible logic and becomes a Plot Hole.

And, well, the examples you put just didn't fit that criteria.

EDIT: For full details, look down this page for the entry "What An Idiot.Undertale". The first poster should be Satoshi Bakura.

All right. I read the discussion, and I understand what I did wrong. I do hope that when I make mistakes in the future that fellow tropers will reach out to me; I would have welcomed the education or the opportunity to learn.
