Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Well, I know I absolutely hate them.
EDIT: So looks like we never really came to a conclusion on the matter. Long as they have context, it seems like they can stay (at least, no mod has said they couldn't).
Edited by Larkmarn Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I don't want to come down with Evil Mod Fiat in these cases because we prefer to leave non-critical decisions up to troper consensus.
That said, the problem with all of those "non-canon" subpages is that they are literally unsourced; they contain references to people's diseased imaginings rather than anything even remotely factual.
If some of these examples exist in fan works or other derivatives, they should be listed with those works, not with the parent. Otherwise they are utterly worthless.
This sort of thing needs a forum discussion to properly settle. If there is an existing topic, feel free to bump it up.
Edited by Fighteer "It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"^ That might be a good idea. That way, we'd have a more permanent documentation to refer to when we do reach a consensus.
Personally, I'd do away with those pages as well. They seem to be an excellent magnet for people to push forward their random headcanons instead of any useful content that can be sourced.
"What some dude on Tumblr believes about Work X" is not an example of anything in Work X and we should not give it the dignity of a wiki article.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"...huh, I thought those pages were for awesome stuff in fanfic of Work X. Which made a certain amount of sense, in that it might be convenient to have that stuff in one place if you're curious.
But... wow, those seem to be a hot mess.
I serve at the pleasure of President Pritchart.

Has anyone here decided on what to do with all those non-canon pages? Because I was on the tropernet, and I found these.
Just searching "Non-Canon" pulls up a bunch of stuff that I'm not even sure is deserving of its own page. What's up with them?
