FYI, there's a thread to discuss SD character pages, here. Probably a better place to bring up the issue (and I do think it is an issue) than in ATT.

(And in Freeza's case, isn't the "ee" spelling explicitly the Abridged character, while the "Freiza" one being the canon character?)

I think the self demonstrating namespace needs a warning banner on blank pages. "TOUCH THAT EDIT BUTTON AND DIE" or somesuch.

Frieza is spelled Freeza in the Viz manga, so both work.

Let's put the discussion about the spelling of "Fr?eza" into the freezer.

Actually, let's not.

Yes, yes, can of worms and all that, but if we're going to have a self-demonstrating page then it needs to pick one spelling of the character's name and be consistent.

I mean, the entire idea is that it's from the character's point of view. You don't randomly change your name between "burke," "berk," and "borque" do you? So why would a self-demonstrating page randomly change the spelling of the name every other sentence?

Honestly, this is the problem I have with self-demonstrating pages. It takes so much work to maintain an interesting and consistent characterization. If we let anyone edit it, then we open the floodgates for every moron who thinks they know the character better than anyone else to come in and screw it up. If we lock the page, then there's no sense in having it.
