The film in question is an East Asian (I don't remember which country, it was all subtitled) action movie. It's about a bunch of police swat-type people who made an elaborate plan to enter a huge apartment building literally swarming with criminals (some kind of Mafia?) and the film shows what happens to them when they try to storm the place, with emphasis on a badass protagonist. The rest is kind of hazy, but I know loads of the police die, the leader of the operation screwed up while planning things and protagonist runs into his long lost brother, who is with the criminals. In the end, the protagonist gets out alive. I remember the big zinger was when the protag and brother are about to leave, and the protag asks why he chose a life of crime. The brother stops dead and tells him something like 'the same reason you wear your badge... it just fits', choosing to stay. Anyone recognise this? I think it's pretty recent too. 2010s?
