Edited by Medinoc "And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."The original German release of Casablanca had all references to Nazis/Nazism removed, cutting 25 minutes of footage and all semblance of a coherent plot.
Edited by DalillamaOk, so I know this is a really old post, but I found another copy of the book I mentioned (it's "Duh, The Stupid History Of The Human Race", if anyone was curious), and decided to look it up. Anyway, the movie was The Informer, and the thing they had to cut out was any refernces to the IRA or the rebellion when it was released in England (which was apparently 129 cuts in all!). I just figured I'd post this in case anyone remembers me asking or was curious.

This is a weird one but I remember reading in some book about stupid things people did (I no longer have the book unfortunately) and it talked about some movie that when it was released somewhere (I forget where) they made them remove all references to something (again, I forget what) after which the film made no sense whatsoever. Anyone know what movie this was talking about
