Wait I found it. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DamageTyping

EDIT: Or maybe not, that seems like a variable way of dealing with damage recieved rather than the split between physical/magical.

No, Damage Typing really fits what you're asking.

I dunno, in the description it says "This trope goes beyond this; to qualify for this trope, the injuries themselves must be qualitatively different."

That implies different types of injuries so it wouldn't work with only Hit Points around.

That paragraph is nonsense to me. If nobody wants to explain then I'll just cut it off.

Some examples there also mentions just "physical and magical attack".

Honestly, the article seems to be a mix of two different things, the different sections of Health linked to how severe an injury is and the whole "Physical and Magical" divide, maybe it needs to go in the Trope Repair Shop to split things up.

EDIT: Oh wait, that place is locked, so, that issue won't pop up for a while.
