Tropes Are Flexible, so Infinity +1 Sword could apply to non-weapon gameplay affecting items.
Equipment Upgrade might sorta cover it as well?
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faer

Is there an equivalent trope to Infinity +1 Sword for non-weapon pieces of equipment?
For example, in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain you use the Fulton recovery device to extract people and materiel from the battlefield. It uses balloons to carry subjects into the sky where they are recovered by aircraft. However, they can fail due to user error or bad weather, have to be used under open sky, enemy soldiers can shoot the balloon before it gets too far, and if the subject is a wounded person they may not survive the trip. Later in the game, though, you can replace it with a device that pulls things through a wormhole and never fails under any circumstances. What would be the trope for that latter device compared to the Fulton?
