That would be Malaproper, I think?

I think Malaproper is more of a character trait than what I'm imagining (if not describing well). A Malaproper does this a lot, but what if it's only one word that occasionally comes up, which they consistently get wrong even after being corrected?

Thank you, that's more like it. (I even contributed to that one!)

Related though: is there something else where the correction (or at least the meaning taken by the corrector) is wrong? Like in Moscow on the Hudson where Vladimir tells a security guard he wants to defect, but the security guard mistakes his meaning, thinking that he wants to defecate. "Not here, there's a men's room down the hall."
