Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Pretty much what it sounds like; it's a variant of the page that demonstrates itself. And yeah, I agree that that page could use a clean-up. It's not "0/10-would-not-read" awful, but it's pretty bad.
A SD page is allowed to sacrifice some Clear for the sake of Witty, as long as it's still comprehensible, and I'd say that page fits the bill. (For an example, see the relatively-recently-fixed-up Literature.Gadsby, which was self-demonstrating until we transplanted it to SelfDemonstrating.Gadsby. The book is notable for never using the letter "E", so the page was written with the same restriction; it was awkward, but readable, so we kept it as an SD page when we fixed up the Literature page.)
The short version:
- Copy the contents of Main.Sound Effect Bleep over to SelfDemonstrating.Sound Effect Bleep, thus creating the SD page
- Clean up Main.Sound Effect Bleep
- Profit (wicks don't need to be changed, since they should wick to the Main page, which will now be non-SD)

How does the Self-Demonstration subpage work? I saw it the other day on some trope page and would like to apply it now to Sound-Effect Bleep which could really use a clean up on the main page. How do I accomplish this?
