What exactly do you mean by that? Do you mean we can only hear one side of the conversation? I believe that's So What You Are Saying.

I mean you hear one side. "So What You Are Saying" is "I'll repeat what you said so that my one side of the conversation has everything".

I'm looking for "The audience only hears half the conversation".

I don't remember what it's called and am too lazy too find it, but American Dad used it exsesivly in one episode. You could check for it there. I know for a fact that it as in the list of examples.
