The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at the Trope Launch Pad.
I thought about that one, but I dismissed it, because I thought it seemed too explicitly related to GUI elements informing the player of things they may or may not be realistically expected to know. I wanted a trope about the character simply having inexplicable knowledge, without necessarily showing it on the screen.
Thinking about it now, I realize that was pretty dumb. I mean, how is the player supposed to know it if it isn't shown on-screen?
So, yeah. Thanks.

When the player character in a video game has inexplicable knowledge about everything they encounter. For instance, in the Ace Attorney games, you somehow know the age of every character immediately when you meet them. I'm sure I've run into this loads of times, but that's the only one I can remember off the top of my head, since I usually take it in stride.
