^ This. I thought we had "Schrodingers Plot" but after reading the article I was definitely thinking of Schrödinger's Gun.

Do we have a trope when, depending on the player's choice, the same thing or detail can be completely different for no apparent reason (in-universe)?
For example, in Neverwinter Nights 2, you are given the choice to either join the guard, or the thieves. If you join the guard, then they are heavily overwhelmed and many of the members are obviously corrupted, while the thieves are ridiculously powerful and pretty much rule the city. But if you join the thieves, then the guard ends up being quite strong, devoid of corruption, and very efficient, and quite a nuisance to the thieves' business.
Or an example from Shivering Isles, where, depending on the player's choice in one quest, the same NPC in the exact same circumstances makes a completely different choice for no apparent reason.
