Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
There is no such rule. Unlike Darth Wiki-located tropes, most Sugar Wiki-located tropes can be put on YMMV pages (save for Most Triumphant Example and And the Fandom Rejoiced).
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanTry telling that to Eagal. (S)he's removed anything from the YMMV page that links to the Sugar Wiki.
Edited by SatoshiBakuraI've checked that page's history and I don't see what you're talking about. What examples has Eagal removed?
I saw some that got moved but not removed, and he cut some examples of Base Breaker because they weren't legit examples. I don't see any evidence of him "cutting everything that links to Sugar Wiki" at all.
Edited by wrm5I beg to digress. SugarWiki.Needs More Love has been explicitly targeted in Administrivia clean up to wipe out all wicks in YMMV tabs, and keep In-Universe examples; all troper recommendations go in the audience reaction's subpages. I am also debating whether I should kill off all mentions and potholes on this matter too (you cannot argue with me when I delete a Main.Needs More Love).
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom PainI could swear that it's been mentioned several times by mods, with mod hat on, that Sugar Wiki doesn't get linked on main wiki. I'm running back and forth between the computer and chores at the moment, though, so I couldn't say where or when they said it.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettThe Funny, Awesome and Heartwarming things are on Sugar Wiki but are frequently linked on the YMMV tab. I do not recall any link ban on them, at least.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhat I mean is items like Visual Effects Of Awesome or Awesome Music or So Cool Its Awesome when they are listed. And it's not just on Guardians of the Galaxy.
I'm pretty sure I have, yes.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Darth Wiki stuff is removed as a matter of practice. Sugar Wiki entries are either removed or left in YMMV/moved to their own subpages, depending upon the trope in question.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI ususally see Awesome Music, Awesome Moments, and Funny Moments get their own subpages unless they only have 1 or 2 examples, wherein people put them on the YMMV page.
^^ For example, as mentioned earlier, Most Triumphant Example, And The Fandom Rejoiced, and Needs More Love are verboten, nicht, no queremos even on YMMV pages for sure. The other Sugar Wiki tropes are fair game unless a mod says otherwise, at least as far as I can tell.
Edited by ryanasaurus0077Considering Darth Wiki is things like Dethroning Moment of Suck and So Bad, It's Horrible... yeah, I don't think you're allowed to list those.
Yeah, but both of those are Flame Bait. I wonder of a Good Counterpart exists (something along the lines of Sugar Bait).
But saying nice things is a lot less likely to start a flame/edit war than saying mean things. Hence why most Sugar Wiki tropes are fair game while Darth Wiki tropes aren't. It's not fair, but that's the way the world works.
I serve at the pleasure of President Pritchart.^^^ There's also a good version of So Bad Its Horrible called So Cool Its Awesome.
Also, I think the opposite problem of Flame Bait would be Gushing About Shows You Like or maybe Complaining About People Not Liking the Show

Does an official rule exist against adding He Really Can Act entries to movies' YMMV pages? I noticed one disappeared from YMMV.Guardians Of The Galaxy, only to reappear with new wording.
