Bit of a question if a certain character from Nanatsu No Taizai counts as a Satellite Character or not which me and a fellow troper are discussing. Some spoilers though.
Griamor is a Holy Knight who serves Princess Veronica. He is the knight to her lady. Most of his motivations revolve around serving her as it seems that he has a bit of a Bodyguard Crush on her. Unfortunately she dies, and out of shock breaks down and disobeys Veronica's last order to protect her sister from the surrounding chaos at the time. He leaves for a time only to return much later to save Veronica's sister. He saves Elizabeth from making a Heroic Sacrifice/ committing suicide and even gives the reason that doing so would make Veronica sad. Currently, he is about to fight one of the manga's Big Bad Duumvirate.
Griamor is also the son of the manga's other Big Bad. In fact he is a major motivation for the other Big Bad, as Dreyfus is a "Well Done, Dad!" Guy who just wanted his son to be proud of him. When Griamor is reported as K.I.A., Dreyfus experiences I guess the villainous version of Heroic BSoD. When the previously mentioned first Big Bad tells Dreyfus that he was the one who killed Griamor, Dreyfus goes Papa Wolf. When Dreyfus is told Griamor is alive, Dreyfus is breaks down in Tears of Joy.
Now with all this information, does this make Griamor a Satellite Character? I personally think that all these makes him not one but can't seem to convey a concrete explanation in my discussion with my fellow troper on the matter. So some other opinions would be welcome.
