Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
It's definitely not kosher, and violates a few guidelines and rules.
The mods come by this page a lot, since there's a lot of stuff reported here.
For another way, see the three blue bars in the upper left corner of the work page? Click on Tools. Scroll down to 'this page needs some moderator assistance'. That "hollers" the page, once you've entered a clearly stated reason why a mod needs to hightail it over there, and hit 'send report'. Remember to use it only for good. :p
Edited by Candi Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettUnintentionally Unsympathetic is an Audience Reaction that requires a character to be set up by the story as sympathetic. If the latter is not the case then it's just "unsymphatetic character".

On the entry for I'm Here to Help, Anon Biblophile keeps deleting or editing valid tropes for the entry (among other things, he deleted the main character making snide comments about a brainwashed character being raped and then trying to kill said character being unsympathetic on the grounds that the main character didn't like him and was bantering). In general, they seem to be removing or justifying anything negative that's put in about the fanfiction.
I'm not sure if this constitutes an edit war or not, but the troper in question seems to be hovering around that page and editing most of the things added in (the YMMV entries, which were the most recent edits, were added in a few days ago). If it doesn't though, I would like to know how to best bring things to the page's discussion board to talk about the edits, since we clearly aren't seeing eye to eye on this.
Edit: In regards to a new issue that's arisen, while Anon and I have been reaching some middle ground on the YMMV page, there's some debate on what ought to go under the entry for Unintentionally Unsympathetic. There are a number of specific examples that I feel should be mentioned because I and quite a few other readers found them VERY distasteful and big reasons why we saw the character as unsympathetic, however Anon and I are in disagreement over whether or not they justifiably fall under the trope.
The specific points we're sorting out can be seen at the discussion board (apologies for how long-winded we both got about this) - https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/remarks.php?trope=FanFic.ImHereToHelp#83293
Since Unintentionally Unsympathetic is a YMMV trope, I know that leaves things a bit less concrete, but I was wondering if there was some guideline that could be followed for what sorts of examples are acceptable for this trope?
