This was a book I read 5-10 years ago. I remember that it had a lot to do with Zepplins and/or skyships, possibly from an alternate universe. Another scene I remember specifically involved the (probably teenage male) protagonist with an imposter of some kind. The imposter was pretending to be a naval/air force officer and asking the protagonist about something that happened. The protagonist noticed that the other guy's sleeves revealed more of his wrists than normal, leading him to think that his uniform was fake and that he was an imposter. Because of that, the protagonist gives him random lat and long coordinates. The imposter pegs those coordinates as an unlikely spot for whatever happened, because it's directly over the Pacific (or Indian) ocean. At that moment, the protagonist realizes that it's definitely an imposter, because an actual highfalutin officer wouldn't be able to match lat/long coordinates to a spot on the Earth without looking anything up. At that point, a few people burst in (I think the leader is female) and restrain the protagonist. After that, I don't remember anything else.
