Dead Island basically stunned the world in 2011 with a shell shocking trailer, one that the game itself found impossible to live up to but it tried it's best. Before the release of Dead Island: Riptide there was another trailer promoting the game, one that was so...off it was banned in Australia. Now it might not be as bad as, say, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream but it does try to do the Anthony Mundine bit, the focus is on melee combat and it's on four survivors in a Zombie Apocalypse...say doesn't that sound familiar?
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger Than YoursIMO descriptions should stand on their own, meaning Left 4 Dead may be "notable" enough to avoid Pop-Cultural Osmosis Failure, but you are still relying on another work to convey information and using a partial X Meets Y style. So I would try instead to flesh out a bit what Left 4 Dead is about in a few words.

Laconic suggestion for Dead Island: Riptide.
Left 4 Dead with melee combat and the game tries to use the player as a speed ball.
Any good? Can it be added?
