I don't understand why all these villains even have self demonstrating articles. Deadpool made sense, since breaking the fourth wall is is thing, but Joker (occasionally hints at a 4th wall, but not to that extent), Lex Luthor, Dr Doom, Sinestro, Lobo, Thanos (at least this one has a n alternate article) and Magneto?
Honestly, I don't even think villains should have a page unless it's about their own series or mini. For example, Darkseed has his own page, even though I don't think he's ever had his own book, and if he does the article makes no mention of it. All that information could go on the character page for New Gods or the pages for the comics he appeared in.
For we shall slay evil with logic...It's just for fun. But sometimes it gets taken to levels non-fans -and even some fans- will never get. I just ignore them and get on with poking around the forums, talking about stuff on threads, and leaving polite or technical edit reasons. (I sometimes spend more time double checking the edit reason's tone then making the edit.)

Funny is good, as long as it doesn't get in the way of the information. We like funny. But the goal is Clear, Concise, Witty, in that order.
I guess Self-Demonstrating in charaxters sheet can done right, but if the entry become confusing and/or out of place, you better drop the act.
So does this count as getting in the way of the information? I know I personally glossed over both their entries, despite the fact I like them both as characters. VideoGame.Deadpool is also SD, but I think the "sudden shifts to SD" in character sheets is much more jarring.

I don't get the number of self-demonstrating villain pages myself. At the same time though, examples on other pages shouldn't be self-demonstrating. We want a unified "wiki voice" for the examples so I don't think Deadpool should be making cameos talking about himself.
But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you.Gods above and below, at least we should keep examples in other pages not self-demonstrating. Although we shouldn't use character names as trope examples, regardless - characters are not tropes. If that's being done, then kill it with fire.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I'm going to rewrite the entries. I can't speak for other people, but the sudden shift to selfdemonstrating on the Character page prevents me from reading it. Especially since in order to stay in character the Deadpool entries are over-the-top madman and Doom is over-the-top arrogant. Makes them tough to read.

Is there a rule for Self-Demonstrating characters?
For example, on the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Marvel Characters page, Doctor Doom and Deadpool both have self-demonstrating entries because they have their own self demonstrating pages.
To me, this seems really jarring, out of place, and just sorta annoying. I was wondering if there was a rule about this one way or the other.
