Seems like an half-Justifying Edit to me. Maybe you can merge it into the main text as a subversion.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIs it really a subversion though? The character is considerably less badass than her original incarnation. Does it matter if there's a valid reason? Doesn't the trope still apply?
Edited by XSpectreGreyX "There's a fine line between not listening and not caring. I like to think I walk that line everyday."Yeah, upon rereading (I was in a hurry before), the edit seems like it's trying to justify the Adaptational Wimp entry with speculation. I would simply delete it - "may" being a keyword that points to this "explanation" only being speculation.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanJust axe it. At best, it's a Justifying Edit. At worst, it's irrelevant because it doesn't really matter whether the backstory is true or not, the point is she's still just a teenage girl.

I'd like to get opinions on what to do with this:
It kinda sounds like a Justifying Edit, or at least natter. To me, it seems like the troper presumes this trope is a bad thing. Should the second entry be deleted or incorporated into the first? Because it does make a valid point, it's just that I don't know if it's important to the Adaptational Wimp trope.
